Homemade BBQ Sauce
If you read our post on BBQ dry rub then you may be here to see how it fits into our Homemade BBQ sauce recipe. If so you have come to the right place, my friend! As I explained in the dr rub post, there is nothing more saddening than going to a “specialty” restaurant for a specific cuisine and it’s just awful. That’s why homemade is better. You know your ingredients and their quality.
As mentioned prior, this is my husband’s recipe. Please show him some love in the comments if you try this recipe.
Homemade BBQ Sauce
Ingredients
- ¼ cup Vegetable oil
- 1 cup Ketchup
- ½ cup Yellow mustard
- ¼ cup Worcestorshire sauce
- 1 tbsp Dry rub recipe in link below*
- 1 cup Vinegar
- ¼ cup Molasses
- ¼ cup Maple syrup
- 2 tbsp Brown sugar
Instructions
- Add all ingredients right in a saucepan. Whisk together and cook for at least 30 minutes, but longer if the consistency isn't yet thick enough.
