What happens when we show thoughtfulness towards one another? By showing thoughtfulness and courteousness to one another it creates a ripple effect. A pay it forward of sorts. Just letting someone out of the parking lot can create a sense of gratitude, happiness, thankfulness, and even accomplishment. Each person now has a more positive outlook on the day and be more likely to have a nicer day.
How do we accomplish this?
Be aware of those around you, close to you. Pay attention and you may find that you can do wonders just by being thoughtful. It doesn’t always have to be about us. We can reach outside ourselves and still have a good day. In fact, we’d probably have a better day. A kind word can really turn someone’s day around.
We may not even know that someone is going through anything at all, but if we practice this thoughtfulness and kindness regularly then I promise you, we will impact someone’s life.
Often, we may never evenknow the effect that our words and actions have on others, but that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t say or do nice things. If we are doing it for recognition then something is lost on us. It shouldn’t be about the kudos, but the fact that bein kind, thoughtful and decent is right.
This behavior restores faith in mankind. We have all heard thing from our parents like, “Do unto others” or others attitude towards us is a reflection of our own and the biggest one my mother ALWAYS said….If you have nothing nice to say, say nothing at all.
So let’s get outside of ourselves and spread some love and kindness on this National Thoughtul Day.
